Sage Abbey “Ms. Abbey” is beginning her 3rd year as St. Paul’s Elementary English Language Learning Coordinator. As last year, this year Sage will co-teach Grade 3-5 SPELL. She is a passionate language learner herself and truly enjoys speaking both French & Spanish. Sage’s experiences living internationally have shaped her philosophy of education. Sage holds a BA in International Affairs and a MA in Linguistically Diverse Education & French from The University of Colorado. Sage has lived & taught in Denver (CO), and Atlanta (GA) and internationally in La Guadelopue (FR), Oaxaca (MX), Accra (GH). This will be Sage’s 18th year teaching.
Professionally, her current interests include the Color Vowel Chart for pronunciation and Translanguageing as a tool and skill. Personally, Sage loves music and dance, documentaries, and all things green or natural. She is joined at St. Paul by her husband Henry Abbey and their children. Together the Abbeys have learned and taught at 3 schools on 3 continents and they are overjoyed to continue living and working in Vietnam!
